Late Age Nation Mods
Archons, Age of Wonders [Executor]
A "pure good" nation based on the Archons from the Age of Wonders fantasy turn-based strategy game, featuring strong anti-demon and anti-undead capabilities.
Barbarian Hordes, Reunified Tribes [BandarLover]
A simple nation that combines the various barbarian and tribal independents into a unified nation, with some tweaks.
Black Ulm, Banefire Forges [Sombre]
A variant of Ulm in which, having solved the Riddle of Steel, the Smiths of Ulm are now focused upon banemetal, forged in banefire. Hostile to magic and priests, they and their Bane Eater Cult allies now use the power of the Underworld to overcome their enemies.
Blood Elves, Ultimate Corruption [Amos]
A corrupted Blood nation of dark elves emerged from the forest, inspired by the blood elves of Earthdawn and the Dark Eldar of Warhammer 40k. Under attack by the Horrors and under the influence of a new, bloodthirsty god, the Blood Elves have turned in desperation to an alliance with demons for protection, and are now twisted caricatures of what they were. Features elite units, many of them seeded with blood spores, transforming them into hamadryads when killed, and spawning hamadryad seedlings in lands under their dominion.
Carthacia, Forges of Molech [DrPraetorious]
A dark Blood nation of corrupted Hoburgers and infernal clockwork machines led by a bloodthirsty order of warrior-priests.
Dragons, Magic Incarnate [Aezael]
A nation of dragons of all shapes and sizes, intended for use with either vanilla Dom3 or the science-fantasy Dom3000 mod.
Eriu, Reformation [DrPraetorious]
The nation of Tada, a late-age synthesis of Eriu, Man and Marignon inspired by the Orangemen and the Reformation. Under the Reformation and in service to the God of Merchants, priesthood has been universalized, and all units, down to its militia, are sacred. Its priesthood consists of merchants and Hugenot wonder-workers.
Fallen Empire, Stygian Corruption [Amos]
A dark nation of Nephilim, the fallen descendants of angelic Seraphim who cut their wings and fought a terrible civil war. The Nephilim, having since lost a war with the Despoilers of Stygia, are heavily-infiltrated by the them. Despoilers now rule the Nephilim from the shadows and corrupt the Nephillite elite, turning them into arachnid Overlords. Features mind-controlled human slave troops, mutant aberrations, demonic beings and hybrid Nephilim-arachnid troops.
[This is the late-age successor to the author's earlier EA and MA Seraphim and Stygian nations.]
Feminye, The Amazon Tribes United [Deathjester]
It's Spring Break in the late era, and the women of the independent Amazon tribes have gone wild. Feminye combines them into an even more warlike nation, and also adds some new and original units into the mix.
F'Thaqqua, Cult of Fthaqqua [HoneyBadger]
A late-era nation of psychotic, death-worshipping subterranean Deros from another dimension, bent on the destruction of all magic, all hope, and all life in the universe. Based on August Derleth's 'Fthaggua', Lovecraftian fire-vampires, Richard Sharpe Shaver's 'Dero'-subterranean humanoids, the Phantasm movies, H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos concepts, and other things. Intended to be played only with the Great Death pretender, it features low magic, many powerful national summons, and expensive, quirky troops.
Githzerai, Hidden Monasteries [Maraxus]
A nation of extraplanar beings known as Githzerai, drawn from TSR's AD&D lore. The additional banners and art likely represent planned companion mods that appear to have never seen release.
Hellgate, New Gehenna [Amos]
A demonic, blood-sacrifice nation of demons and half-human, half-demon hybrids called Hellions, built around an infernal portal built within the city of New Gehenna to serve as an entry point for demonic hordes to pour into the world. The nation lacks priests and has no sacreds, and has only Blood and, to a limited extent, Fire mages.
Hesalt, Illusions of Power [quantum_mechani]
A backwater nation of humans, formerly under the rule of Ulm, and now ruled over by the dispossessed seraphs of Caelum. Governing through a guild of seers known as the Diviners, the seraphs have taken power and ruled surreptitiously by illusion and subterfuge, transforming the little kingdom into a force to be reckoned with.
Hoburg, Crossbows and Butter (Hoburg Kingdom) [normalphil]
A late era nation of militaristic hoburgs, described by the author as "the 17th and 18th century come 'round again as farce. Only not funny at all," and heavily-based on the old Hoburg Alliance mod from Dom2.
Holmgard, Republic [DrPraetorious]
"Russians+Goblins, bitch." The incomplete basic layout of a nation of wolf-kin, beings smaller than humans and almost as strong, who have adopted the ways of old Pythium. Blood sacrifice allowed but not required.
Jomon, Blademaster Era [UninspiredName]
Replaces LA Jomon with a variant centered around units using exotic alternate weapons such as arm blades, triple katanas and fire palms, as well as some of the more standard weaponry.
Jomon, Broken Swords (Jomon Broken) [Sombre]
New Jomon, a darker counterpart to LA Jomon, featuring a society under the domination of malevolent female demons and undead. (New Jomon does not replace the vanilla LA Jomon, and can be run concurrently with it.)
Kharam Dzu, Hoist the Black Flag [Zepath, ed. Sombre]
A nation of unruly, inebriate dwarf pirates ruled by a priestly admiralty.
Late Era Extension [DrPraetorious]
Late-era variants of MA Machaka and EA Helheim.
- Machaka, Golden Kingdom
- Helheim, Beyond the Pale Sea
Lodum, Viral Death v0.4 [Jazzepi]
A nation of sentient viral masses, shamblinb mounds of slime, and infected hordes of living beings created by the magic of the Allspawn. Loosely inspired by Left 4 Dead, the Zerg of Starcraft, and Slimeworld.
Malazan Empire, Reign of Laseen (Pax Malazica) [Calchet]
A nation based on Steven Erikson's The Malazan Book of the Fallen, featuring elite infantry, sailing-capable stealth infantry, and powerful mages under the rule of an assassin-queen.
Medicia, Revival of Reason [draugaer]
A nation based on Renaissance-era Italy, featuring gunpowder and vehicles (including balloons and ornithopters) but with a disdain for magic.
Mistica, Cult of Mana (A Magocratic Police State) [Stavis_L]
A magocracy founded by powerful refugee mages fleeing Ermorian persecution, who have banded together and formed the Mana Cult. In this nation, mages and magical beings are held sacred, and its sacred troops are mage-candidates equipped with magical arms and armor, but its conventional military is weak.
Necropolis, City of the Everdying [Zepath, ed. Sombre]
A theocratic city-state inhabited by a people cursed to live on as ethereal purgators upon their death. Powerful ethereal wizards and semi-dead priests rule the City of the Everdying, and command armies of living infantry, dead elites, gnomes and troglodytes.
New Crobuzon, Expansionist Government [Amos]
A nation, based off of China MiƩville's fictional city of New Crobuzon, in which the advancement of mechanical science combined with extensive knowledge of thaumaturgy results in a steampunkish nation of human and cactus-man troops alongside horror-like slake moths, bizarre 'fleshcrafted' human aberrations, and other monstrous creatures.
Oceania, Seas of Blood [Treant Hugger, ed. Frozen Lama]
A late-age variant of Oceania, in which the beleaguered Oceanians, pushed to the edges of the oceans by R'lyeh, have turned to blood magic and welcomed demons into their midst. [Note: This nation requires the use of what is normally considered a bug/exploit in Dom3: the ability to blood hunt underwater by using the hotkey for it, which is normally disallowed. This is because LA Oceania is Bloody Good.] (Treant Hugger's original version here.)
Pangaea Rebalanced [Arralen]
A modification of late-era Pangaea that rebalances some of the units. Intended as a preview for an overall rebalancing mod intended at the time by the author, but never consummated.
Pythium, Wild Magic [odd_enuf]
A late-era continuation of Pythium, re-emerged from a terrible cataclysm caused by the theurgs opening a great rift into the astral plane. With the astral tear permanently open, the nation is deeply infused with astral magic, and features mages with completely random magic paths and magically-infused human troops, alongside the old theurgs and powerful, immortal astral summons.
Sanguinia, Vampire Counts [Zepath, ed. Sombre]
A blood-sacrificing nation of powerful vampires ruling over enslaved human thralls. Sanguinia requires blood sacrifice for the spread of its dominion.
Shogun of the Dark, Rise of the Ninja [spirokeat]
A new late era nation meant to stand alongside or be played instead of LA Jomon, in which the Shogun of the Dark, lords of the Ninja Clans, rule over the lands of Shinuyama. With the focus on ninja instead of the more traditional samurai, the nation features bandits, ronin and vengeful samurai alongside demons and a substantial variety of ninja types.
Souls of Shiar, Shards of a Dead World [Aezeal]
A primarily-undead nation designed for both vanilla Dom3 and the science-fiction Dominions 3k mod, Shiar is centered around the undead remnants of a destroyed world who, both blessed and cursed of different gods, have fallen on a shard into a province of the Earth and now seek to rebuild their empire and establish their leadership over the living.
Sylvania, The Last New Dawn [Zepath, ed. Sombre]
An elven nation ruled by the Phoenix King and featuring arcane archers, elemental and nature mages, stealthy light infantry, and medium infantry and sacred Phoenix Guards clad in mithril.
[Note: This nation should not be confused with Llamabeast's Sylvania middle-era nation based off of the Warhammer Fantasy Vampire Counts army.]
Teutanion, Age of Honor [Zepath, ed. Sombre]
A nation of chivalry-bound knights and academy wizards skilled in elemental magic.
Theran Empire, Reign of the Vampiri [Amos]
A blood-sacrifice dominion nation inspired by the world of Earthdawn, in which the the Theran Empire has finally emerged from the passing of the Scourge* and no longer worships the Horrors. It is now ruled by Tetsu sorcerers who have used Death magic to become human-vampire hybrids, and who now lead the Theran Empire in re-establishing its former glory. Features vampiric commanders and elite troops, including powerful vampiric sacreds, as well as human and ghoul infantry.
[NOTE: This mod makes substantial changes to vanilla vampiric units.]
* In the Earthdawn world, the Scourge was a worldwide phenomenon in which the separation between the astral plane and the material one became thinner, thus allowing Horrors free reign and forcing sentients to retreat into magically-warded underground warrens or face extinction until the separation between the planes increased again.
Trade Confederation, New Dawn [Amos]
A nation in which the cult of a new god has taken root in the leadership of an interplanetary corporation, the Trade Confederation, uniting its disparate sects and making the extension of its trade empire a religious crusade. Features human units derived from three main sects, the Fire, Pain and Death sects, with armies based on pikemen, elephants, cavalry and catapults.
Ulm Reborn (New Ulm, Iron Faith Reborn) [Sombre]
A new variant LA nation which thematically replaces LA Ulm, Black Forest, but can be played alongside it. The Malediction is replaced by a miraculous event, the Aufklarung (enlightenment). Ulm turns away from encroaching evil and the Iron Faith becomes the focus of the nation. Includes 3 national summons and 1 new priest spell.
Vaettiheim, Exiled Tribes [Sombre]
A nation of Vaetti and Gygjas, exiled from Jotunheim and now ruling over tribes of trolls and winged Spero in the crescent lands. Based on a sample mod originally by Illwinter.
Volcanus, Stone and Flame [Thanatus del Dragos]
An offshoot of Agartha, Volcanus is a fire-oriented nation of Pale Ones who have settled in a volcano and live alongside the last remnants of a race of fire giants.
