General Mods
Ai Casting Improvement Mod (AiCIM) [Calahan]
A mod that alters many of the stock spells in order to get the AI to choose better spells in combat.
Antilarium 4 Metamap (Map with Scenario) [Psientist]
An ambitious combined map and mod scenario that includes a number of new units. It is intended to be complimentary with the Mytheology mod, but does not require it.
Cataclysm [Elmokki]
A total conversion in which there are fourteen identical nations, differing only in name and flag and having only the most basic of units, priests and mages. Access to higher-end recruitable troops is done through automatically-discovered magic sites that provide access to them; the mod adds approximately 220 new sites. The mod is compatible with CBM but will conflict with most nation mods, and is not intended to be used with them.
COE Summons [Admiral Aorta]
Adds a considerable number of units from Illwinter's CoE3 (Conquest of Elysium 3) as generally-summonable units.
Conceptual Balance Mod (CBM) [llamabeast, quantum_mechani et al.]
The effective standard base mod, maintained and contributed to by a number of authors and intended to improve overall balance and make all nations viable and interesting. Currently incorporates Endgame Diversity Mod (EDM), Underwater Gameplay Improvement Mod (UWGIM), Worthy Heroes (WH), Sprite Upgrade 4.0 and portions of a number of other mods.
Community Sprites Update Mod (CSUM) [Globu et al.]
Provides improved or alternate versions of outdated sprites, fixed versions of problematic sprites, and alternate versions of still-valid sprites as a matter of preference. Makes no changes in game content, and sprite changes can be disabled or enabled on a case-by-case basis to suit preference. Some of these have been incorporated into CBM, and are consequently obsolete.
CrossPath Combat Spells (CPCS) [Burnsaber]
Adds a number of new cross-path combat spells in order to make randoms picks more exciting and make mages that have lots of low paths more useful in combat.
Crosspath Summons Mod [RagnarokX]
Adds a number of new cross-path ritual summons, including such things as beholders (of AD&D lore), gorgons and nightmares.
Disable Gamebreaking Bonus Sites (DGBS)
Removes uberbonus sites like The Ultimate Gateway from the game.
Dom3 Sound Pack [Ballbarian]
Provides alternate, more subtle replacement sounds for a number of game sounds, such as the female dying scream and the elephant attack sound.
Dominions 3 Plus [Singularity24601]
An incomplete mod that adds a considerable number of carefully-researched units, consistent with the Dom3 mythology, theme and artwork, to MA and LA Arcoscephale and LA Jomon. Also contains some apparent plans and artwork for units for some other nations, but these are unrealized.
Dragon Sprite Replacements [Nerei]
Replaces the draconic sprites (dragons, drakes, wyvern, tarrasque) with a new set of sprites.
DRAS, A Mod for Difficult Research Games [Burnsaber]
A mod that aims to make Difficult and Very Difficult Research games more livable for human nations that need those early counter spells by making all researchlevel 2 spells available at researchlevel 1. Optionally, it also makes researchlevel 3 spells into researchlevel 2.
Fire/Water Thugs [zlefin]
Adds a handful of Fire and Water 'thuggable' summons intended to make those schools of magic more worthwhile.
Forbidden Friendship [Feinne]
A mod from the Dom3 Goons community that combines CBM with the AwesomeMods: AwesomeGods and AwesomeEndgame, and adds some additional rebalancing and content. The mod includes all graphical content from CBM; sprites pictured below are unique to FF.
Endgame Diversity Mod (EDM) [llamabeast]
Adds a number of high-level summons intended to broaden the options available in the endgame and make schools of magic other than Death and Astral more worthwhile at that stage.
This mod has been incorporated into CBM; if you use CBM, you do not need to use this mod separately.
Epic Heroes [Xietor]
Adds an SC-quality hero to every nation as a starting commander, intended to alter the balance of the game and broaden the options of weaker nations beyond taking an awake pretender.
Holy War [Burnsaber]
An ambitious mod intended to boost Holy magic across the board, with the intent of making it more interesting and central to the game. Adds thirteen new holy spells, upgrades some existing ones, and replaces the existing holy sites with 31 new ones that will appear with more frequency (some of which offer new recruitable units).
Holy War: Lesser Edition (Holy War LE) [Burnsaber, ed. llamabeast]
Llamabeast's slightly adjusted version of Holy War, which reduces the power of a number of the new spells, removes one, and makes some other minor changes, with the intent of balancing and broadening the appeal of the mod.
Lankan Kharahasara Mod [Globu]
Adds to the game Kharahasara, sacred lapine rakshasa, as recruitables for Lanka. Also adds a unique, non-nation-specific magic site that allows them to be recruited by anyone lucky enough to find it.
Magic Site Mod [Endoperez]
Adds approximately 150 new magic sites, many of them with recruitable units (either existing units or entirely new ones), contributed by members of the community.
More Trollz [SlipperyJim]
Adds three conjuration spells that allow one to summon the better troll units without having to summon the whole troll king's court.
Mytheology [Psientist et al.]
A mod that adds a large amount of new, generalized content: new spells, new pretenders, some new units, on up to new names added to the misc. male and female nametype lists.
NI Indies Mod Pack [rdonj et al.]
A mod designed for NI (No Independents) maps that adds a few sites with recruitable independents and changes a few normal magic sites, making it possible to recruit some independent units while playing an NI map. Many of the sites also have gem incomes to avoid diluting the gem pool too much. Currently there are no underwater indies.
Nova Deus II [Zepath et al.]
An older mod that adds 16 new pretenders for select nations and new descriptions and updated sprites for 20 existing ones.
Sombre Summons [Sombre]
Adds a handful of new universal summons in the theme of giants, ettinkin and trolls.
Sprite Upgrade [Sombre]
Replaces many sprites with graphically-upgraded equivalents from Ilwinter's CoE3 (Conquest of Elysium 3).
This mod has been incorporated into CBM; if you use CBM, you do not need to use this mod separately.
Static GemGens (Static Gem Generators) [Soyweiser]
Adds three summonable gem-generating units (Astral Crystal, Frozen Flame and Deep Earth Crystal) and appropriate summoning spells. Intended as a balanced alternative to gemgens (Blood Stone, Clam of Pearls and Fever Fetish) that eliminates or reduces the micromanagement for which those items are famous (and for which they were made unique under CBM).
Streamers 'n' Standards [Zepath, ed. llamabeast]
Replaces the flags for all nations with an alternate standardized set.
The High Guild [Swan]
Adds two kinds of highly versatile mages from the High Guild of Mages to all nations' recruiting roster, based on the idea of reviving the tendency of Dom2 toward higher magical diversity.
The Ruinous Powers [Zepath]
Adds four pretenders based on the chaos lords Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch of Warhammer Fantasy lore to all nations, in various mixes.
These pretenders are incorporated into the author's Nova Deus II mod.
Thematic Endgame Mod [Admiral Aorta]
Adds new high-end summons for endgame use. Currently in a preliminary status, with two full-featured units.
Underwater Gameplay Improvement Mod (UWGIM) [Burnsaber]
Adds a large amount of content to flesh out and make competitive Oceania and underwater nations in general. A lot of the mod has been incorporated into CBM.
Worthy Heroes [Burnsaber]
Adds a large number of new heroes to all nations, and upgrades many existing ones, with the goal of making heroes more interesting and worthwhile, and spicing up the game in general.
This mod has been incorporated into CBM; if you use CBM, you do not need to use this mod separately.
